Convert your front casters and gain about 26mm of ground clearance with this design, using standard office chair casters.
The bracket is a quick and symmetric (2 pieces, one file) part that you can set up on the left and right (or even turn it upside down if you want to get creative). The setup shown requires:
For each side:
Screw, M6x12mm
Screw, M8x12mm
Tap, M8 for the front extrusion
Bracket, 3D printed

The wheel assembly fits right into the printed bracket – just push by hand. This design is intended to support the same 40kg total payload as the original SCUTTLE. The casters centerline sits a bit wider so you gain some stability, and the larger diameter helps navigate on carpets or rough floors compared with our standard 50mm casters.
Tighten the screws by hand with a philips driver (or for common M8 screws, use a hex key of 5mm size) There is no need for washers etc – just don’t overtighten and crush your print!
